Paul

Senior Developer and Principal Consultant

How long have you worked in your role/s?

I’ve been at Aire Logic for 2 and a half years.

During this time, I’ve worked for:

  • Microtest (now eva health) - Helped implement a Generic FHIR Receiver.
  • Portsmouth Hospitals University Trust - Stood-up forms4health and helped implement nursing care plans (Activities of daily living)
  • LTHT - Implement a FHIR API to allow converting of FHIR messages into a common data storage format (CDS) which is a bespoke storage pattern using SQL server.
What inspired you to work in the tech industry?

I’ve had a love of computers ever since being a young boy when my Dad bought a BBC Micro and I taught myself the BASIC programming language. My software development career has seen me working in healthcare, insurance, intellectual property and counter terrorism. I continue to learn everyday and feel fulfilled by having a career in an industry that I know has barely scratched the surface of its potential.

What do you like about working at Aire Logic?

Aire Logic is a genuinely kind and caring organisation with people who are full of energy and knowledge. It is always striving to do better and I love having a tangible stake in its future. The work is challenging but never overwhelming and if I have challenges there is an overwhelming level of support to help me overcome them.

What are your skills and expertise?

C#, TDD, DDD, CQRS, Event Sourcing, FHIR

A fun fact about you.

I’ve been part of a banger rally and drove a ‘G’ reg Peugeot 205 (1989) all the way from Lancaster to Banjul in The Gambia, to raise money for 3 different charities. It was 3800 miles, passing through 8 countries and we did it in 21 days.
