How long have you worked in your role/s?

I’ve worked across various projects during my 3 years at Aire Logic, and I’ve been in the software industry for 8 years now.

What inspired you to work in the tech industry?

I fell into the position - I was looking for placement roles during university, and managed to land in a role working with a great team of talented developers. I went in with no prior experience or exposure to software development and managed to find my feet quite quickly. I enjoyed the process of learning so much, I decided that I’d like to give it a go as a career post-graduation. Thankfully I was kept on during my time at university, so I haven’t really left the industry since.

What do you like about working at Aire Logic?

Culture is of huge importance to me. We spend a third of our working lives with our colleagues so having a great work-life balance with great culture is important. Thankfully, Aire Logic has an abundance of culture and the people make working here really enjoyable. The work we do and the way we go about doing the work is very positive, and I can log off at the end of the day knowing we’re one step closer to making a difference.

What are your skills and expertise?

• 8+ years of experience developing .NET applications
• Developing JavaScript/TypeScript web applications, including using React & Angular
• Deploying applications using Docker & Kubernetes to environments in AWS, Azure, and occasionally on-premise
• DevOps
• Advocate for Agile

I find horticulture fascinating, and can often be found growing (and eating) my fruits and vegetables.
