Our greener IT solution: Circular Computing
An ethical and socially responsible way to source IT
New starters at Aire Logic will be offered a ‘greener’ laptop as part of our commitment to net zero emissions by 2030. Anyone joining as a business analyst, product manager or similar role can choose a carbon-neutral re-manufactured laptop from Circular Computing.
Besides being carbon neutral, each Circular Computing laptop saves 190,000 litres of water typically used to make a new machine. The company also plants five trees to increase and restore sustainable forests.
Providing a new home for refurbished laptops
Fiona, a Business Analyst from Aire Logic, was impressed with her new laptop: “I’ve had my refurbed laptop for a month, and I’m pleasantly surprised with the results. The laptop functions the same as my previous laptop. The only noticeable difference was the refurbed model's slightly different size and weight due to its higher spec. But it still fits in my bag, so it’s not a showstopper!” Fiona added, “I'm happy with my refurbed laptop. I'm glad it hasn't ended its life as e-waste and has found a new home on my desk.”
Aire Logic colleagues needing an upgrade or replacement can also take advantage of the option while reducing their personal impact on the planet and Aire Logic’s carbon footprint.
Supporting our commitment to achieve net zero by 2030
The scheme was proposed by Aire Logic’s Green Guild after discovering the carbon emissions of laptops bought during the company’s rapid growth in 2022 amounted to about 33 tonnes of CO2e (Carbon dioxide equivalent).
As a result of Aire Logic’s employee ownership model and low hierarchy structure, our company rapidly implemented the idea — delivering our first remanufactured laptop in June 2023 and supporting our carbon reduction plan.

- 316kg of CO2e emitted
