How long have you worked in your role/s?

What inspired you to work in the tech industry?

I previously worked in science, completing a PhD in Chemistry. During my time there I wanted to make my data processing more efficient. I picked up python and wrote some initial pipelines for processing the data coming from my instruments. As I improved I started writing things in my own time, things like discord bots for making leaderboards with my friends. This all lead to a positive feedback loop of improvements at work making my personal projects better and visa versa, until i was writing programs for colleagues and building out an entire chapter of my thesis based on computation and simulation. In the end I decided that programming was the most exciting part of the job and decided to pivot into the tech industry.

What do you like about working at Aire Logic?

The work i’m given is both interesting and does some good for the NHS, so its stimulating intellectually and morally. The flexibility and work culture is also excellent.
