Aire logic, hippo and kainos appointed to support NHS expansion of digital vaccination services

Improving digital vaccination services across England.

In a critical move to bolster public health and address growing concerns around vaccine-preventable diseases, Aire Logic has been appointed by NHS England, alongside trusted partners Hippo and Kainos, to improve digital vaccination services across England.

The two-year contract from July 2025 aims to deliver national digital services that support an increase in uptake by making NHS vaccinations more accessible. With a focus on aligning digital services and prevention strategies, it directly supports the published 10 Year Health Plan for England.

Ensuring equitable access is paramount to reaching underserved populations, driving uptake of vaccinations and easing pressure on frontline NHS services. Together, the teams will support NHS England in improving how people are invited, booked and vaccinated by modernising access through trusted digital channels, including the NHS App.

Aire Logic’s co-founder and Director, Joe Waller, says: "This work is all about making it easier for people to stay healthy. We’re proud to be continuing our partnership with NHS England to support accessible, secure and user-friendly vaccination services that deliver real public value."

The contract builds on existing national services and is being delivered as part of the NHS England’s Digital Prevention Services portfolio. Since 2022, Aire Logic has been one of the NHS’s strategic delivery partners for digital vaccination services - processing millions of vaccination records delivered in England - integrated with NHS platforms - to enable faster data-driven decisions and support population health monitoring.

Selin Barnett, Delivery Partner at Hippo, said: “We’re pleased to be supporting Aire Logic and NHS England on this important work. As always, our focus is on designing services that are inclusive and accessible by default - helping ensure every user, regardless of background or digital confidence, can navigate the system with ease.”

In addition to technical delivery, the programme includes a strong commitment to community involvement and social value. Partners will deliver workshops in schools, run drop-in sessions for older and vulnerable adults, support community organisations with access to digital spaces and offer over 350 days of volunteering focused on community health.

Mark Simmons, DHSC and NHS England Account Lead at Kainos, added: “Kainos is proud to contribute our delivery and data expertise to this essential programme. Improving vaccination uptake requires technology that is reliable, scalable and responsive to real-world needs and that’s exactly what this partnership enables.”
