Research first

We do not design from opinion. We talk to the people who use your services, including patients, carers, clinicians and students, before we recommend anything. The research shapes the design, not the other way round.

Inclusive by default

In health, education and public services, the people who most need a service are often the hardest to design for. We include diverse users from the start, and test against NHS and GDS accessibility standards throughout.

Connected to delivery

We work alongside engineers and product teams, not in a separate track. Insights get into the product because we are in the same room, not writing reports for someone else to act on.

Clinically aware

A confusing service can cause unintentional harm. We bring clinical safety awareness to our design work and know when to involve clinicians, informatics leads and patient safety teams in the process.

Standards aligned

We design within the NHS service standard, GDS design principles and WCAG accessibility guidelines from day one. This reduces rework, speeds up service assessments and means your service is built to last.
