What's your role?

I joined the company in January 2022. I work within the recruitment team to recruit new staff and manage existing staff onto projects.

What inspired you to work in the tech industry?

I was a primary school teacher before moving into recruitment, initially specialising in education recruitment. Being a teacher, I was (and still am) a people person who loves tackling a ‘to do’ list so this served me well in my move into recruitment. After 4 years in education recruitment, I made the leap into tech recruitment when joining Aire Logic. The tech industry was something new to me however after learning about ‘Tech for Good’ and how Aire Logic contributes to it, it sparked my interest in this industry.

‍What do you like about working at Aire Logic?

I love working at Aire Logic because everyone is incredibly welcoming and inclusive and from the minute I started at Aire Logic, I felt like I was part of the family. I think that it is amazing that everyone gets the opportunity to work in committees, guilds or on charity work. This gives me the opportunity to work with colleagues who I wouldn’t usually work with on a day-to-day basis and be involved in activities such as organising the away weekend or charity events.

‍Something personal or a fun fact:

Outside of work, I am a busy mum who enjoys spending time with my family. I love going to see musicals and comedy shows and I try to squeeze in as many shows as possible whenever I get the chance to go to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
